This table lists the 153 Arp peculiar galaxy views that may be seen in John C. Vickers' Deep Space CCD Atlas: North. The list is designed to augment the index to the Atlas by providing a list of all Arp galaxies portrayed.
It is difficult to locate (much less own) a copy of Arp's original album. This affordable collection ($29.50 plus shipping in 1998) was made primarily through a 14-inch Schmidt Cassegrain telescope and a Photometrics Star 1A CCD camera, representative of very good amateur equipment. The images are presented in negative form, as were the images in Arp's Atlas. The Atlas may be purchased via the mail:
John C. Vickers Back River Observatory P. O. Box 1292 Duxbury, MA 02331 617-934-6909
Most of the images reveal the peculiarity which attracted Arp, a testament to the depth and sophistication of Mr. Vickers' image acquisition and processing. While his indexing and labels reflect an interest in the Arp galaxies, fewer than half of the Arps in the atlas are indexed or labeled as such. This table is intended to reveal all 153 Arps in this fine atlas.
This sequence groups similar objects together according to Dr. Arp's preliminary taxonomy, which is indicated in the list. For each Arp view, the table lists the most common name of the galaxy or galaxies and the atlas page number where the image may be found. An asterisk indicates that the galaxy is not identified by its Arp number in the Atlas. The table also lists the field of view (FOV) in arcminutes and orientation of the long axis of Arp's original photograph and the J2000.0 Right Ascension and Declination of the brightest object in the view.

Note 1: Vickers' Atlas identifies NGC 0095 as Arp 65. Arp 65 is actually NGC 0091, on the same page.
Note 2: Vickers' Atlas identifies NGC 3981 as Arp 281. NGC 3981 is actually Arp 289
The Vickers' Atlas has a companion volume for the southern hemisphere. This South volume includes at least 4 additional Arp galaxies not found in the North volume. These 4 are coincidentally the four southernmost Arp Galaxies. It is likely that a few additional Arp galaxies and alternate photos of those listed here are also included. It is also likely that many of Arp's "Southern Peculiar Association" galaxies are also included.
